Bold.org : Finding Scholarships
Hey everyone,
I wanted to share my experience using Bold.org to find scholarships. I have applied to many scholarships in the past during my academic career. In the past, finding scholarships was usually very limited. I tended to only apply to scholarships directly given out by the academic institution I was attending, whether that was high school or college. This tended to be very competitive and very minimal in the breadth of scholarships offered. I never new how many scholarship opportunities were out there until I dug deeper this year. This year I found Bold.org.
Bold.org makes finding scholarships so easy it is almost too hard to believe! The scholarships can be funded by Bold themselves, or by outside donors. All of the scholarships are set up for easy access on their website, and you can treat it as almost like a LinkedIn, setting up an ideal profile to showcase your achievements and passions. Plus, the scholarships are universally inclusive to everyone, some may be specifically for first generation students, others for students of Native American decent, others for anyone who enjoys reading! They offer opportunities for everyone and that is why my scholarship pursuit this year has improved immensely.
